Navadarsan: Educational Empowerment by Archdiocese of Verapoly

Navadarsan was established in 2004, June as a Department for education in the Archdiocese of Verapoly. It aims at co-coordinating the educational apostolate of the Archdiocese through parish education forums and Educational Institutions. It intends to impart quality education and it focuses on moulding the children to create confident, competent, morally, and socially matured individuals who will always be a credit to the society.  Navadarsan gives huge amount every year being scholarships to the students in the Archdiocese of Verapoly. Our endeavour is to help the students to achieve academic excellence.

Navadarsan Education Forum Moothedam.

Moothedam Education Forum commenced their activities in the year 2004 with the blessings from Most Rev. Dr. Daniel Acharuparambil, Metropolitan, Archdiocese of Verapoly and Rev. Fr. Francis Pediakkal, Parish Priest, Moothedam.   

The structure of the education forum is like this, the chairman, Vice chairman, convenor, joint convenor (secretary), treasurer, education officer and collection agent.

Objective: 

Educate individuals who strive to uplift the educational standards of parish, with a special focus on the poor and marginalized by providing sufficient education to each family of the parish that at least one in the family may attain higher education and none eligible may be lose their thirst due to financial difficulty. 

Vision: 

Through the empowerment of education only can make community developed.  A vision to provide a safe, secured and vibrant learning environment for the students to produce future to the society, religion and to the country.  And to motivate, change out of underprivileged children to transform the socio-economic progress of the nation.

Mission:

To provide awareness, guidance, and right information on the new / different verticals of courses and branches of studies.

To provide information on Govt schemes, Sources and schemes for education loans, overseas education prospects etc.

To conduct language and motivational sessions for personal excellence.

To train preparation and presentation skills of students.

To make the students civil service and scientist aspirants.

The current number of beneficiaries enrolled as members from Parish is about 800 and the overall contributions from the members as on FY 2022 is about 80 Lakhs through education scheme and Nidhi.  

We are facilitating average 40 number of beneficiaries for Scholarships every year for higher education.
