Basic Christian Communities (BCC), also known as Block/Ward Units, represent the local presence of the Church in our neighborhoods. These small communities bring parishioners together to live out their faith in close fellowship, mutual care, and joint service.

Spiritual Goals

The primary goals of the BCC are:

• To cultivate a deep love for the Word of God through neighborhood scripture sharing.
• To build a supportive, close-knit Christian community where neighbors care for one another’s spiritual and physical needs.
• To promote local charitable works and social action directly in our neighborhood sectors.

Neighborhood Ward Breakdown

Our parish is divided into 15 geographic wards, each coordinating monthly local family unit gatherings. The wards ensure that even in a large parish, no family is left isolated or unsupported. Every ward is led by an elected Ward Coordinator and committee members.

Gathering Guidelines & Structure

BCC gatherings are hosted rotationally in the homes of ward members once a month. The meetings follow a structured 7-step method:

1. Opening Prayer & Hymn: Welcoming the Holy Spirit into the home.
2. Scripture Reading: Proclaiming the Sunday Gospel.
3. Silent Reflection: Listening to God’s voice in the scripture.
4. Faith Sharing: How the Word of God speaks to our daily lives.
5. Community Discussion: Addressing local neighborhood needs, prayer requests, and event updates.
6. Action Planning: Planning local charity visits, cleanup drives, or parish support activities.
7. Concluding Prayer: Praying for the host family and our parish community.
